Hey Rod,

seriously kicked some Pommy ass in First Test with test in ADL to start on Friday. Friday is the day I become a street kid in the move back from ABX to BNK. Will arrive in Ballina on Dec 4th and unload on Dec 5th. If you have some Internet time check out www.frequentflyer.com.au search for humour and have a look at two of my posts there.

Looking forward to seeing you in January

Love

Maybe postpone the bedsheet and take another look. It's much more customizable than you think. If there's something you need, there's a solution out there somewhere.

Hey Roger - hope you've got over the Berlin hangover, took me about 3 weeks! Check out Nick's blog, he's about to re-trace our steps in Turkey and Iran, almost 4 years to that day after we did the trip...good times.

Hope you're still oozing gravitas

Sorry Nick-- I doubt that you'll be anyhere near a computer during your travels, aside from having to check whether war is being waged near the next destination, and of course letting your family know you're alive. Wish it were me.

Finally! I've been checking every other day and am constantly confronted with 'You knew this post would be titled Traffic'

unfortunately, only one day of work left and then back on the road, so less time to stare at a computer wondering how to pass the time.

Hey mate. Yeah the traffic over there can be a beasty. I guess the ol' fridge-magnet is right; you never miss your water until you're dry (etc etc).

Funny thing is, I'm currently disgruntled when my drive to work takes over 20mins. Hah.

As an Australian, I am embarrassed to say that I had not heard of Hubert Wilkins' explorations until about 5yrs ago when I commenced aviation studies at University Western Sydney (Australia). After my Bachelor Aviation Degree I have been lecturing at UWS on aviation history, etc. for the past 2 years. I went to hear the author, Simon Nasht talk last week, for I am totally fascinated by his book, The Last Explorer, and will be sorry to finish reading the last 30 pages today. I can highly recommend it to everyone as a remarkable story almost unbelievable, well related and about a totally amazing, courageous person - a one of a kind. My sincere thanks to Simon Nasht for this contribution to my education and pleasure. I have been in aviation myself, for the past 44years and ongoing.
